Sal's Pals - committed to finding a cure
History
Sal was diagnosed at birth (2001) with the genetic disease
Cystic Fibrosis. In order to help find a cure for CF, in 2003 a
special group of family and friends came up with idea of "Sal's
Pals" Charity Event. The charity event consists of dinner,
entertainment, drawings, door prizes, national sponsors and
live and silent auctions. The event has continuously been a
sell-out with much success in part to our local and national
sponsors as well as a long list of celebrities that have helped
join in on our cause.
One-hundred percent of the proceeds are presented to the CF
foundation at The "Great Strides" walk-a-thon held nationally
each year. "Great Strides" is the primary fundraiser for The
Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Ninety cents of every dollar given
to the CFF goes directly to research for a cure and into finding
new life saving medications so desperately needed for
survival.
Sal's Pals has raised over $578,000 in 9 years. This proves that
everyday people can make a difference in this world! Together
we can give a future to many children, adults and families that
a cure will be found for people like our little Sal.
